Spring is here! Spring is here!
Winter is gone and two flowers appear.
March winds gone, April showers begin
Three little robins begin to sing.
Four bicycle bells begin to ring.
Five children come out and jump the rope.
Spring is here now! I hope, I hope!

To a parent or care-giver in your house:
Thanks for guiding the children in the house to this website and newsletter. They will be encouraged to make good choices and to enjoy their family, friends and pets.
Stories with Life-Lessons: At the launch for MeadowLane Audio for Children, a mother asked this question, “Do all your stories have a lesson?” Donna was pleased to say, “Yes, they do.”
All the characters in MeadowLane stories have opportunities to think about correct choices to help them understand themselves and their situation better. And they show us different parts of their character, like patience, self-discipline or curiosity.
And then the Food for Thought section helps those who are listening to the story to think about their own life. Donna compares situations the characters encounter to experiences a child might have in school, on the playground or at home. Character Development is not a new term to children. Many schools help their students explore different character qualities.
Meadowlane Audio is unique in the Internet world. Our short stories are written about real animals, whimsical creatures and loveable kids who enjoy living on a farm. Check out the photographs for hints about each story. All the characters learn something important in every adventure. At the end, we have provided a Food for Thought message that encourages children to think and respond creatively.
You are receiving this email either because you've shown interest in our venture, maybe you opted in through the website, or perhaps it's because we've agreed to trade newsletters on a monthly basis.

Hey kids, who is our Roving Reporter this month?
None other than Hetty the Hen.
Hetty tells us that Donna attended a very
special event on April 10th and 11th. The
Holstein MapleFest Arts and Crafts Show
was a special place to meet people and
tell them about MeadowLane MP3
Stories for Kids. Many children came to her
table and picked up a picture and stickers
This month's story: While doing her job of reporter, Hetty has been scampering around the farm asking many of our friends a very important question. Check it out
Yes! Yes! Yes! Sharon has written you a very special poem about springtime
Guess who's coming to . . . MeadowLane? Isn’t it fun when company comes to your house to visit. This happened in our newsletter too. We have a special guest who’s come to visit and he brought a spring poem for you. Check it out here
What’s special about the month of April: Spring
April Fool's Day
Earth Day
Is it your birthday?
We know Will and Zoe have a special day.this month
If you have a story you’ve written in your school about character development, maybe you’d like to send it to Donna at dmann@log.on.ca. Or maybe you've written a poem or story about Stormy, the Watch-Cat or Herbie the Happy Goldfish.
Maybe you've drawn a picture of a troll. Now Sharon and I would like to see that.
Same Day Service: If you would rather have a CD mailed to you instead of downloading the story, please email and one will be mailed to you on the same day.
New Stories: Next month we're going to launch a new story on the website. Can you guess who is going to talk about their experience on the farm? It should be good. Be sure to come back.
As Sharon says at the end of each story, "Come on up the lane and listen to more stories from Meadowlane Audio Books. We'll see you there."
